Pitcher Movement Restoration Series: Hip Internal Rotation

The ability to be able to stop yourself with your lead leg as a pitcher is crucial to be able to transfer force from your body to the ball. Without hip internal rotation, you may not be able to transfer this force efficiently which can lead to a decrease in performance (velocity and accuracy) or durability issues (back pain or shoulder and elbow pain)

Hip internal rotation is a common site for decreased range of motion after a pitcher throws off the mound. The ability to restore that mobility before their next outing will help a pitcher perform at their best while staying durable!
