Between Game Tips: Morning and Evening Game

baseball baseball injuries baseball nutrition baseball performance double header tips Oct 17, 2023

The other week, we went over what we should be doing to prepare for the second game of a double header. The other, but similar, challenge is to be prepared and ready to play in the second game in a day when you have a few hour break.

Much of what you would do is similar to what you would do in between a double header, with a few exceptions:

  1. Make sure to eat your normal meals between games
  2. Your warm-up should include all components of your typical warm-up, as if you did not play in a game prior
  3. Throwing during catch play should be limited to light throwing (60-90 feet, 15-20 throws max)

In this week's video, I go over each of those touchpoints in detail. Give it a watch and reach out with any questions!
