Between Game Tips: Double Header
Oct 17, 2023I often get asked "What should I be doing between games to stay warm, or what should I do to get ready for the second game in a double header?"
This can be looked at differently than if you were playing two games in a day separated by several hours. There is not much time between games in a double header and you have just finished up playing in a game where, hopefully, you were prepared to play in.
There are 3 things that I would focus on doing between games (especially for someone that may not have played in the last few innings of the game before). Those 3 things would include:
- Dynamic Warm-Up (Body Readiness)
- Light Throwing (no more than 60-90 feet for 15 throws)
- Grabbing a snack between games
In this week's video, I go over those three categories and how to maximize your time to get fully prepared to play in your second double header game!
